Falun Heron is an attractive newcomer with a distinct personality. Being a younger version of our truly beautiful Falun alpaca/merino sweater, the fit is young and roomy, with shorter front and slightly longer back.
While our Falun sweater is made with a luxurious blend of alpaca and merino wool, this Falun Heron sweater is made with a freshly developed Norwegian wool quality. This yarn offers incredibly lightness and a unique, crisp look.
The Falun Heron shares its inspiration and pattern design with its sibling, the Falun alpaca/merino: Details taken from our 1993 Falun World Championships sweater are stylized and amplified, inspired by times when modern technology made big patterns possible. The outcome is a beautifully detailed sweater where old school meets new cool.
This sweater is made of 100% Norwegian wool in a freshly developed wool quality named Heron. By selecting the finest wool from the sheep’s very first shearing, the fibers are short, giving us a finer and softer yarn with. The outcome is thin, light and soft garments, while maintaining the brilliance, crimp and longevity for which Norwegian wool is world renowned. For extra comfort, the neck is lined with soft merino wool.
Norwegian wool is one of the world’s most animal-friendly textile fibers. Our wool comes from the “dalasau” (“valley sheep”), known for roaming freely in the vast Norwegian hillsides while grazing in natural pastures. A revolutionary new wool treatment using natural non-toxic salts makes this sweater soft and machine washable.

Your Dale sweater is unique, because it is characterized by the long experience of Dale of Norway and the traditional Scandinavian history. The detailed Norwegian sweaters are manufactured with a lot of love and care. All work steps are carried out in the factory in the small village of Dale in the beautiful fjord landscape of Western Norway - and this has been the case since 1879. The result is a quality that is second to none.
In addition, great importance is attached to the use of environmentally friendly materials and processes, as Norwegians are closely linked to nature. The energy for the small factory comes from the surrounding waterfalls in the valley. The sweaters are made from 100% Norwegian wool or merino wool (see product information below) and only Ökotex 100 certified yarns are used. In spite of the traditional production, the company focuses on modern patterns and cuts and thus manages to give the classic Norwegian sweater a modern design.
It is not for nothing that genuine Norwegian sweaters are currently one of the biggest fashion trends. You will receive a great sweater from Norway, which warms you and keeps its positive qualities for a lifetime.
