Our mission is the foundation for our sustainability work, and our sustainability strategy is built on it. The strategy can be summarised in three themes: sustainable product, responsible supply chain and stakeholder engagement.

Our sustainability strategy can be represented in the form of a pyramid. The three cornerstones - sustainable product, responsible supply chain and engagement with all stakeholders - form the basis for our daily sustainability work.

ach sustainable product: Reima outlasts from one child to the next

For us, a sustainable product is one that lives on from one child to the next. Uncompromising quality is at the core of our business, and our gear is both durable and made with classic design. Our products are safe to use: We have strict standards for chemical and physical safety. We invest in sustainable materials: organic, recycled and responsibly sourced fibres. We extend the life cycle of our products through second-hand and repair initiatives, and make products from a single material to facilitate recycling.


Key targets for 2023

    50% recycled plastics (Reima brand)

Status: in our 2022 collections, 79% of the main synthetic materials in Reima garments contain at least 50% recycled fibres. From AW 2022, all synthetic insulation used in Reima garments will be 100% recycled.

    100% certified organic cotton

Status: In our 2022 collections, 97% of the cotton used in Reima clothing is certified organic. By 2023, we aim to use 100% organic cotton in both Reima and Lassie garments.

    75% bluesign certified materials in outdoor styles (Reima brand).

Status: In our 2022 collections, 55% of the main materials in Reima clothing are bluesign® certified - as are a large number of linings and insulations.
